1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Ndumakong Suh DT, Nebraska
Suh is one of the biggest playmakers in college football. Tampa needs to get back to their roots and restrengthen their defensive front. Freeman looks to be at least decent.
2. St. Louis Rams Jimmy Clausen QB, Notre Dame
Getting punched in the face could push Jimmy towards declaring for the draft this spring. The Rams have passed up a QB the past few years in the draft, and Bulger's hurt again. Only time will tell about the Rams' qb situation.
3. Cleveland Browns Jake Locker QB, Washington
Brady Quinn had a career day last Sunday...it was against the Lions' defense. So who knows what the Browns plan to do with Brady, but it's too early to tell. I'm assuming this past game was an abhoration and he isn't what he had potential to be...in Cleveland at least.
4. Detroit Lions Russell Okung OT, Oklahoma State
The Lions have a good start to their rebuilding, but they need to keep Stafford on his feet. He's gotten injured twice now and he's too important to their franchise now to become injury prone. Okung is the best tackle in this year's draft and he'll be able to start from day one.
5. Washington Redskins Eric Berry S, Tennessee
I think Dan Snyder will realize to take the best player in the draft here, even though Berry isn't exactly the biggest name in the draft.
6. Seattle Seahawks Gerald McCoy DT, Oklahoma
The Seahawks need some run defense. They could also go for a running back and maybe even QB.
7. Oakland Raiders Taylor Mays S, USC
Best forty time. Bingo! At least Mays won't be a major reach here, unlike Heyward-Bey last draft. Al Davis' team has quite a bit of talent, but are under achievers.
8. Kansas City Chiefs CJ Spiller RB, Clemson
Lost Larry Johnson (or got rid of), so naturally the Chiefs are in need of some backfield help. Charles may be ok, but he's just ok. Spiller is a big-time player, and will be a welcome sight for Todd Haley.
9. Buffalo Bills Trent Williams OT, Oklahoma
Buffalo needs offensive linemen. They also will need a quarterback because Edwards and Fitzpatrick are obviously not the answer. Their defense stepped up to face the Jags.
10. Tennessee Titans Joe Haden CB, Florida
What a comeback this team has made, that's Jeff Fisher for ya. Oh, and FYI...it's not Vince Young, it's Chris Johnson. As far as I'm concerned, Young is just a glorified Trent Dilfer.
11. San Francisco 49ers Bryan Bulaga OT, Iowa
The Niners might've found their qb in Alex Smith. Their starting tackles leave something to be desired.
12. New York Jets Dez Bryant WR, Oklahoma State
Sanchez needs a big play, favorite target. Bryant's stock won't be too affected by his suspension from this season.
13. Denver Broncos (from Bears) Rolando McClain LB, Alabama
Since the Broncos have turned to the 3-4, they'll need to continue to collect the right talent for their system.
14. San Francisco 49ers (from Panthers) Brandon Spikes LB, Florida
Imagine...Spikes, Patrick Willis, and Takeo Spikes in the same linebacking corp. That's pretty darn good. If Smith and Crabtree get a great combo going, with Gore on the ground, San Fran could surprise next year.
15. Miami Dolphins Brandon LaFell WR, LSU
Ted Ginn hasn't worked out as a receiver. Parcells may not take another chance on a WR in the first round, but I think he can make an exception for LaFell.
16. Houston Texans Trevard Lindley CB, Kentucky
Houston just can't win the big games. They couldn't stop Vince on 3rd down. They couldn't do diddly-poo. They need defense.
17. Baltimore Ravens Sean Weatherspoon LB, Missouri
Ray Lewis is getting older and older. I think it's time to bring in their linebacker for the future. Ray Lewis is the qb of their defense. They'll be big shoes to fill though.
18. Atlanta Falcons Greg Hardy DE, Mississippi
Hardy has some injury issues and is out for the rest of this season. The Falcons definitely need help on defense. Ryan will have this team in the playoff hunt each and every year if they can get the defense squared away.
19. Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Iupati OG, Idaho
Not much the Steelers need. Year in and year out they are in the hunt, although this year is a little bit of a disappointment. I don't think they'll miss the playoffs, never count out Big Ben.
20. Philadelphia Eagles Sean Lee LB, Penn State
I think the Eagles' window may be closing. If McCoy can produce the way Westbrook used to, they can probably hold on for a year or two more.
21. New York Giants Carlos Dunlap DE, Florida
Not much the Giants need. They could go with the big upside of Dunlap here.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars Morgan Burnett S, Georgia Tech
Jacksonville needs pass defense...desperately. If only they could get a pass rush.
23. Green Bay Packers Charles Brown OT, USE
Aaron Rodgers really needs protection. He may hold on to the ball more than he should, but the tackle position defenitely needs an upgrade.
24. Seattle Seahawks (from Broncos) Jahvid Best RB, California
Seattle needs a running back pretty badly. Forsett has done well, but he's not a number one back. Hopefully he recovers fully from his injuries.
25. San Diego Chargers Bruce Campbell OT, Maryland
San Diego's running game is gradually getting better, but they still need tons of help. The offensive line is to blame for its lowly year.
26. New England Patriots Jared Odrick DT, Penn State
Aging defense needs help. They're still winning, but they need to continue to replenish.
27. Dallas Cowboys Brandon Graham DE, Michigan
Defensive line is one of the Cowboys' priorities heading into this next offseason it looks like. They're not getting many sacks.
28. Cincinnati Bengals Terrence Cody, DT Alabama
Cincy's defense could become a dominant force if they get Cody here. This could be their year if they put it all together, hopefully LJ helps and doesn't distract.Kudos to Marvin Lewis for turning this team around.
29. Arizona Cardinals Adam Ulatoski OT, Texas
They need tackle help. Levi Jones and Gandy aren't doing as well as they could be. A better offensive line could help their running game out lots.
30. Minnesota Vikings Corey Wooton DE, Northwestern
They've got a great defensive line, Taking Wooton would give them a great DE for Allen to show all the little nuances and tricks.
31. Indianapolis Colts Arthur Jones DT, Syracuse
Colts really need help to clog up their middle of that defensive line. Wonder if they'll ever realize they need a decent defensive tackle?
32. New Orleans Saints Eric Norwood LB, South Carolina
Nothing much that this team needs. It seems like they're getting tested now. Their games are getting closer and closer. They're getting battle tested for the playoffs though, which is good.

NFL Mock Draft 5- 11/18/2009
1. Buccanneers- Ndumukong Suh DT, Nebraska
The Bucs draft their new Warren Sapp to try to regain their old strength. Raheem Morris has quite a task ahead of him and work on both sides of the ball is really needed. Suh is the best player who could be taken this high. The Bucs have their QB, they just need to build around him. Suh is a playmaker and will immediately help the Bucs' pedestrian rush defense.
2. Rams- Jimmy Clausen QB, Notre Dame
The Rams need a franchise QB and they have passed on way too many in recent drafts (Ryan in 2008 and Sanchez in 2009). Bulger just isn't what he used to be. I think that Clausen has the best chance of becoming a good franchise QB out of this year's QB class. He seems to be the most NFL ready QB, coming from the pro-style offense of Notre Dame.
3. Lions- Eric Berry S, Tennessee
The Lions need to take the best available player because there simply is no other option since they are seriously lacking at so many positions. I think Berry is the best overall prospect in this class as of now, with Nebraska's Suh in second. They also need CB, LB, DL, OL, another wide receiver, so Detroit is a long way away from even being considered to be contenders.
4. Browns-Jake Locker QB, Washington
Cleveland is a mess. Jake Locker has been streaky this season, but he put himself in the spotlight after upsetting USC early in the year. If Locker can steady himself and finish out the season strong, we may see him declare early. Locker has nothing to work with in Washington, and I'm afraid if he ends up in Cleveland, he'll be exactly where he started (with the exception of Josh Cribbs, of course)
5. Raiders- Carlos Dunlap DE, Florida
High potential with this pick, plus he has a good 40 time, which means that Al Davis will want him more than anything else his cold, old heart could desire. There's a good chance that Richard Seymour will want to get out of Oakland desperately by the time the off season rolls around. Despite having some very talented players on that side of the ball, they're near the bottom of the league in defense.
On a side note, the Tom Cable self-defense class will start on Thursday evenings at the YMCA from 6-8. Mr. Cable will be signing autographs (with his fist on your face).
6. Chiefs- Russell Okung OT, Oklahoma State
Getting Okung at 6 would be a steal. Scott Pioli traded for Matt Cassel, who has a less than stellar QB rating so far this year. He could only produce touchdowns against one of the league's worst pass defenses after the Chiefs had already lost the game. The whole problem doesn't lie with him though, the real problem is the offensive line. They allowed 3 sacks to the Jaguars who had only 5 total on the year! Okung will be able to start from day one.
7. Redskins- Trent Williams OT, Oklahoma
I hate putting Williams up this high, but there's not really a need elsewhere that the 'Skins have that there is a player with the value at this pick. (Confused?). Samuels is at the end of his career and Mike Williams was out of the league for the previous 2 seasons before coming back. Trent Williams hasn't been a monster this year in college, but he'll still be a first rounder in the spring.
8. Titans- Gerald McCoy DT, Oklahoma
If you've got a running back like Chris Johnson, you can play Jeff George back there and you can still win. The Titans will look to upgrade their defensive line after finding out that the loss of Albert Haynesworth was a bit more than they expected. The Titans are making a nice little comeback here on the back of Chris Johnson. Their defense needs upgrading. Who knows as of right now if the Titans stick with VY at QB or not.
9. Seahawks- Taylor Mays S, USC
The fact that they signed Lawyer Milloy just goes to show that this secondary needs help. They have another desperate need at running back, but I don't see any running backs this year going in the top 10. In my opinion right now, taking a running back here would be a reach. Mays is the top senior defensive back and is an intimidating specimen. If he gets past Al Davis, I think the Seahawks will snatch him up quick.
10. Bills- Sam Bradford QB, Oklahoma
Dick Jauron has been fired, so it looks like there's going to be a lot of changes in Buffalo. I think one of the major changes will be at quarterback. Sam Bradford will have to prove that he's fully recovered from his injuries in post-season workouts and at the combine in order to fulfill his 1st round billing.
11. 49ers- Joe Haden CB, Florida
The 49ers could go defensive tackle or offensive tackle here, but Joe Haden is the best corner prospect and San Fran is hurting bad in the pass defense department. I made this pick assuming that the 49ers will have their quarterback chosen by the time the draft rolls around. After a few games, Alex Smith looks to be at least decent.
12. Jets- Damian Williams WR, USC
Williams and his former QB could be reunited in the Big Apple. Sanchez will be able to enjoy more sideline hot dogs if he gets a good second receiver. He could possibly end up the number one with the Braylon/Lebron friend situation. They could also go with linebacker as well. I think Dez Bryant being suspended the rest of the year may have an affect on his draft stock.
13. Dolphins- Jermaine Gresham TE, Oklahoma
Gresham, had he come out last year, would have been the best TE in the class, and the case is the same for him in 2010. He's out for the rest of his college career, so he'll have to prove he's 100% come time of the combine and medical exams. His talent is undoubtedly one of the best of 2010. I still like this pick, the Dolphins have a gimmick offense, and they won't win with it. They need more offensive weapons. Gresham will help Henne by being a big target down the middle of the field.
14. Broncos (from Bears)- Derrick Morgan DE, Georgia Tech
The Broncos are running the 3-4 defense and that requires a big investment into linebackers and specific defensive ends. Morgan will be able to provide a great pass rush as well as defend against the run.
15. 49ers (from Panthers)- Terrence Cody DT, Alabama
The 49ers need a better nose tackle to clog up the middle of their 3-4 defense. They're ranked great against the run, but they need more pressure on the quarterback. They're struggling in pass defense. Adding Haden and Cody here will do wonders. After that, the 49ers almost have a really solid team put together (if they can get their QB situation squared away).
16. Eagles- Brandon Spikes LB, Florida
Prepare to buy visors for everyone in the NFC East next season. Despite this incident, it will go unnoticed in April. Spikes is one of the top linebackers coming out this year and the Eagles have a few linebackers that may become free agents. Again, it's way too early to tell who and how many the Eagles will re-sign, but I know that Spikes would be near the top of the Eagles' draft board here at 16.
17. Giants- Arthur Jones DT, Syracuse
The Giants could use a little bit of help in their run defense. I see them drafting Jones here and solidifying an already great defensive line. Linebacker and safety could also be options.
18. Jaguars- Rolando McClain LB, Alabama
The Jaguars are making the transition to a 3-4 defense (or at least tried to), unfortunately, they barely have any of the personnel that they need in order to do it. They're back in the 4-3 as of now. They were going to play a hybrid 4-3/3-4 this year but losing Reggie Hayward didn't help. Rolando McClain will round out their already good linebacking corp. (Tebow is not a NOT a first round pick). The Jaguars were supposed to be rebuilding, but are in the playoff race getting deeper into November. Kudos to Gene Smith and the great job he's done with this roster.
19. Texans- CJ Spiller RB, Clemson
Man does the Texans' rush offense stink. Slaton had a good rookie year, but he can't be the number one back. The Texans will go to a two headed monster in their backfield and I think it would improve their offensive attack so much. Another need is at defensive back.
20. Packers- Charles Brown OT, USC
Luckily for Ted Thompson, the best available player fits with the biggest need that they have. Too many sacks have been given up this year by the Packers offensive line. Protecting Aaron Rodgers should be of utmost importance, even if you might have to go away from your best player available strategy. Cornerback is also a need as Charles Woodson and Al Harris are getting older and older.
21. Ravens- Brandon LaFell WR, LSU
Take away Derrick Mason and the Ravens' leading receiver is a running back. That's not good because Mason has said that he's retiring after this season. Ozzie Newsome always hits home runs with his first round picks (except for Kyle Boller and Mark Clayton). That's how you get a team to the playoffs consistently and build a winner. In the past two drafts, the Ravens have traded up to get their player (up for Oher and traded back, then up again in 08 for Flacco).
22. Falcons- Greg Hardy DE, Ole Miss
The Falcons just proved again that they need defense. They spent a lot of picks last spring on defense, but it still needs help. Jamaal Anderson is just about ready to be called a bust. Greg Hardy will team up with his former Ole Miss teammate Peria Jerry and try to help fix this defense. Matt Ryan needs the defense to help if he wants to win in the league.
23. Chargers- Bryan Bulaga OT, Iowa
The Chargers need help on their offensive line more than anything. That offensive rushing attack just shouldn't be dead last in the league after 8 weeks. LT and Sproles desperately need a better offensive line in front of them in order to be successful again. Will LT trade rumors pop up again after the season?
24. Steelers- Morgan Burnett S, Georgia Tech
The Steelers missed Troy Polamalu earlier in the year and it definitely showed, now he's injured again. They missed him so much because they only have one good safety, not two. Burnett would be an instant upgrade over Ryan Mundy.
25. Patriots- Sean Weatherspoon LB, Missouri
Getting a player like Weatherspoon here is great for New England. They continue to draft well and that's why they're always a contender. Getting a 2011 first rounder was a genius move by the Pats and they're going to continue to exploit other teams in order to get what they want. They look like they could use some fresh blood in their linebacking corp. As long as Junior Seau keeps showing up on their depth chart, they need linebackers.
26. Seahawks (from Broncos)- Jahvid Best RB, California
I think the Seahawks will ignore the offensive tackle position in the first round and go with a safety first, then take Best, the smallish RB from Cal. Best has shown this year that he can be a true weapon on offense, and that is what the Seahawks need, a spark on offense. Hopefully Best fully recovers from that horrific fall into the endzone he had recently.
27. Cowboys- Brandon Graham DE, Michigan
The Cowboys look like they need some help on defense. Pass defense gets an upgrade with Graham here. Offensive tackle and linebacker are also needs.
28. Cardinals- Adam Ulatoski OT, Texas
The Cardinals appear to have regressed in their running game after showing some life during their playoff run last January. 31st in rushing isn't going to cut it, I don't care if you have Warner, Fitzgerald, and Boldin. Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower need blockers, it's that simple I think. Wayne Gandy is done, so Ulatoski could be able to come in and start, maybe from day one.
29. Bengals- Myron Lewis S, Vanderbilt
The Bengals have been very impressive this year, thanks in part to a big draft class and Cedric Benson. Palmer has been staying healthy and that's Cincy's main concern. Their pass defense is leaky and needs an upgrade over the current starters, even though Hall and Joseph are ballhawks. What a great job by Marvin Lewis.
30. Vikings- Patrick Robinson CB, Florida State
The Vikes could use a little help with their cornerbacks. A defensive end opposite of Jared Allen could be a possibility here, too. Either way, the pass defense could be upgraded.
31. Colts- Jared Odrick DT, Penn St.
It's clear the Colts need help at the defensive tackle spot. It's been like that for a while now. With Bob Sanders out all the time, the Colts just need to get their run defense settled. They drafted Moala from USC last year, but he hasn't cracked the starting lineup yet. The competition ahead of him isn't that great either.
32. Saints- Trevard Lindley CB, Kentucky
The Saints don't really have a need anywhere else but defensive back. They are solid across the board and their record is showing it. I was really impressed by the way they beat the Giants a few weeks back, then had to come back against Miami, but had to come back against the Panthers (and eeked out a win against the Rams). This team is the team to beat this year.

NFL Mock Draft 4- 11/10/2009
1. Buccanneers- Ndumukong Suh DT, Nebraska
The Bucs draft their new Warren Sapp to try to regain their old strength. Raheem Morris has quite a task ahead of him and work on both sides of the ball is really needed. Suh is the best player who could be taken this high. I think Eric Berry is the best prospect this year, but the last time a safety was taken number one overall was...well, never.
3. Chiefs- Russell Okung OT, Oklahoma State
Scott Pioli traded for Matt Cassel, who has a less than stellar QB rating so far this year.
4. Lions- Eric Berry S, Tennessee
The Lions need to take the best available player because there simply is no other option since they are seriously lacking at so many positions. Detroit has got to stop the bleeding on defense. I think Berry is the best overall prospect in this class as of now, with Nebraska's Suh in second. This will be a good deal for the Lions to get him at 6 and they will be creating one of the best safety pairs in the league. They also need CB, LB, DL, OL, another wide receiver, so Detroit is a long way away from being even considered to be contenders.
5. Browns-Jake Locker QB, Washington
Cleveland is a mess. Their fans are staging a protest outside Cleveland Browns Stadium just before their Monday night game. If Mangini is still there after this season, I think that in all likelihood, Brady Quinn will be traded. He wasn't even given a fair chance. Jake Locker is a Mark Sanchez type, just like last year where Sanchez didn't have a lot of playing experience. If Locker has the skills that Sanchez had, remains to be seen. Locker has been inconsistent thus far.
6. Redskins- Trent Williams OT, Oklahoma
Chris Samuels is retiring and this whole team is falling apart. They have plenty of talent, but that doesn't mean that they'll be winners. Dan Snyder will have to start realizing that big free agent pickups don't exactly make for great team chemistry and a playoff contender. Sam Bradford could go here, too.
7. Titans- Gerald McCoy DT, Oklahoma
It's amazing what a garbage quarterback like Vince Young can do against the league's worst pass defense and then the 49ers who were missing their top corner. If you've got a running back like Chris Johnson, you can play Jeff George back there and you can still win. The Titans will look to upgrade their defensive line after finding out that the loss of Albert Haynesworth was a bit more than they expected.
10. 49ers- Joe Haden CB, Florida
12. 49ers (from Panthers)- Arthur Jones DT, Syracuse
The 49ers need a better nose tackle to clog up the middle of their 3-4 defense. They're ranked great against the run, but they need more pressure on the quarterback. They're struggling in pass defense. Adding Haden and Jones here will do wonders. After that, the 49ers almost have a really solid team put together (if they can get their QB situation squared away).
13. Bills- Terrence Cody DT, Alabama
The Bills run defense is last in the league, which is due to having Kyle Williams in the middle and Marcus Stroud aging. Even if Cody could only be a two-down lineman, he'd be great on first and second down run situations if they rotate their defensive tackles.
(Tebow is not a first round pick in my opinion. He'll be like Pat White was last year. Only earlier in the second round).
17. Broncos (from Bears)- Derrick Morgan DE, Georgia Tech
The Broncos are running the 3-4 defense and that requires a big investment into linebackers and specific defensive ends. Morgan will be able to provide a great pass rush as well as defend against the run.
19. Giants- Mike Iupati OG, Idaho
Looking at this depth chart and the rankings, what do the Giants need? I think that they'll take the best guard as of right now in the draft. Building along the offensive line is always a good idea and Tom Coughlin knows what his team needs.
21.Chargers- Bryan Bulaga OT, Iowa
The Chargers need help on their offensive line more than anything. That offensive rushing attack just shouldn't be dead last in the league after 8 weeks. LT and Sproles desperately need a better offensive line in front of them in order to be successful again. Will LT trade rumors pop up again after the season?
22. Eagles- Brandon Spikes LB, Florida
Prepare to buy visors for everyone in the NFC East next season. Despite this incident, it will go unnoticed in April. Spikes is one of the top linebackers coming out this year and the Eagles have a few linebackers that may leave via free agency. Again, it's way too early to tell who and how many the Eagles will re-sign, but I know that Spikes would be near the top of the Eagles' draft board here at 22.
25. Steelers- Morgan Burnett S, Georgia Tech
The Steelers missed Troy Polamalu earlier in the year and it definitely showed. They missed him so much because they only have one good safety, not two. Burnett would be an instant upgrade over Ryan Mundy.
28. Cowboys- Brandon Graham DE, Michigan
The Cowboys look like they need some help on defense. Pass defense gets an upgrade with Graham here as the 'Boys' defensive linemen didn't have any with more than 2 sacks up until this past Sunday. Offensive tackle and linebacker are also needs.
30. Vikings- Patrick Robinson CB, Florida State
The Vikes could use a little help with their cornerbacks. A defensive end opposite of Jared Allen could be a possibility here, too. Either way, the pass defense could be upgraded.
31. Colts- Darrell Stuckey S, Kansas
The Colts have a lot of everything. Wide receiver could be an option, but Bob Sanders is out for the year again, so Indy needs to get somebody who can either replace him at a drop of a hat or take his spot on the roster.
32. Saints- Trevard Lindley CB, Kentucky
The Saints don't really have a need anywhere else but defensive back. They are solid across the board and their record is showing it. I was really impressed by the way they beat the Giants a few weeks back, then had to come back against Miami, but had to come back against the Panthers. This team is the team to beat this year. They drafted Malcolm Jenkins last year, but Darren Sharper isn't getting any younger, even though he has a whopping 7 INTs and 3 TDs.
3. Chiefs- Russell Okung OT, Oklahoma State

The whole problem doesn't lie with him though, the real problem is the offensive line. They allowed 3 sacks to the Jaguars who had only 5 total on the year! Okung will be able to start from day one.

NFL Mock Draft 3- 11/3/2009
1. Buccanneers- Ndumukong Suh DT, Nebraska
What should the only remaining winless team in the NFL do? Build along the lines.
2. Rams- Jimmy Clausen QB, Notre Dame
Marc Bulger once again underperformed on Sunday against the Lions. He completed less than 50% of his passes, no TD's, 1 pick, and he just doesn't have much of anything left. The Rams need a franchise QB and they have passed on way too many in recent drafts (Ryan in 2008 and Sanchez in 2009). I think that Clausen has the best chance of becoming a good franchise QB out of this year's QB class.
3. Browns-Jake Locker QB, Washington
Cleveland is a mess. Their fans are staging a protest outside Cleveland Browns Stadium just before their Monday night game in a few weeks.
4. Titans- Gerald McCoy DT, Oklahoma
Less than 72 hours ago, it looked like a sure thing that the Titans would be drafting a new franchise quarterback in the 2010 draft. It's amazing what a garbarge quarterback like Vince Young can do against the league's worst pass defense. If you've got a running back like Chris Johnson, you can play Jeff George back there and you can still win. The Titans will look to upgrade their defensive line after finding out that the loss of Albert Haynesworth was a bit more than they expected.
5. Chiefs- Russell Okung OT, Oklahoma State
Scott Pioli traded for a decent QB in Cassel, who has a 73 QB rating so far this year, but he certainly doesn't make everyone around him better like a true franchise QB does. The whole problem doesn't lie with him though, the real problem is the offensive line. They've allowed the second most sacks this year. The best tackle in the draft will help immediately. The Chiefs have had their bye week and they still are dead last in sacks allowed (27).
7. Raiders- Carlos Dunlap DE, Florida
High potential with this pick, plus he has a good 40 time, which means that Al Davis will want him more than anything else his cold, old heart could desire. There's a good chance that Richard Seymour will want to get out of Oakland desperately by the time the offseason rolls around. The Raiders are dead last in defense, despite having some very talented players on that side of the ball.
On a side note, the Tom Cable self-defense class will start on Thursday evenings at the YMCA from 6-8. Mr. Cable will be signing autographs (with his fist on your face).
10. Bills-Jevan Snead QB, Ole Miss
Snead isn't having the best year, but he is the type of QB the scouts like. Buffalo is a mess and Jauron will be gone, barring some miracle the rest of this season. I'm going to assume that Snead gets this season back on track and has a good combine and workouts in order to hold a possible first round grade. Trent Edwards has taken a step back this year...and that's an understatement. Yeah, yeah, some of it may be due to that concussion thing, but before being concussed, he wasn't exactly starting to show any good signs.
11. 49ers- Joe Haden CB, Florida
The 49ers could go defensive tackle or offensive tackle here, but Joe Haden is the best corner prospect and San Fran is hurting bad in the pass defense department. I made this pick assuming that the 49ers will have their quarterback chosen by the time the draft rolls around. After 2 games, Alex Smith looks to be at least decent.
12. Dolphins- Jermaine Gresham TE, Oklahoma
Gresham, had he come out last year, would have been the best in the class, and the case is the same for him in 2010.
13. Jaguars- Rolando McClain LB, Alabama
The Jaguars are making the transition to a 3-4 defense, unfortunately, they barely have any of the personnel that they need in order to do it. They were going to play a hybrid 4-3/3-4 this year but losing Reggie Hayward didn't help. Rolando McClain will round out their already good linebacking corp. (Tebow is not a first round pick in my opinion. He'll be like Pat White was last year. Only earlier in the second round).
14. 49ers (from Panthers)- Arthur Jones DT, Syracuse
The 49ers need a better nose tackle to clog up the middle of their 3-4 defense. They're ranked great against the run, but they need more pressure on the quarterback. They're struggling in pass defense. Adding Haden and Jones here will do wonders. After that, the 49ers almost have a really solid team put together.
16. Chargers- Bryan Bulaga OT, Iowa
The Chargers need help on their offensive line more than anything. That offensive rushing attack just shouldn't be 31st in the league after 6 weeks. LT and Sproles desperately need a better offensive line in front of them in order to be successful again. Will LT trade rumors pop up again after the season?
18. Bears- Dez Bryant WR, Oklahoma State
Anyone else think that Jay Cutler misses having a number one receiver? Brandon Marshall definitely helped Cutler, but is now helping Kyle Orton become a much better QB than he used to be. Bryant would be WR1, Hester WR2, and Knox would be one of the best slot receivers in the game with his speed paired with Hester's. Passing attack could also open up running game more for Forte who's having a sophomore slump.
(oops, forgot that Denver has this pick. I'll fix this in the next update)
21.Cardinals- Adam Ulatoski OT, Texas
The Cardinals appear to have regressed in their running game after showing some life during their playoff run last January. Dead last in rushing isn't going to cut it, I don't care if you have Warner, Fitzgerald, and Boldin. Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower need blockers, it's that simple I think. Wayne Gandy is done, so Ulatoski will be able to come in and start, maybe from day one.
22. Giants- Terrence Cody DT, Alabama
Looking at this depth chart and the rankings, what do the Giants need? Well, you have to look closer and find out that the Giants have two defensive tackles that will be free agents this coming offseason. There's no way to know now if they're going to try to re-sign either or both of them, but assuming Coughlin lets them go, I'm having the Giants take the menacing Cody.
24. Steelers- Morgan Burnett S, Georgia Tech
The Steelers missed Troy Polamalu earlier in the year and it definitely showed. They missed him so much because they only have one good safety, not two. Burnett would be an instant upgrade over Ryan Mundy.
Again, it's way too early to tell who and how many the Eagles will re-sign, but I know that Spikes would be near the top of the Eagles' draft board here at 25.
27. Cowboys- Brandon Graham DE, Michigan
The Cowboys look like they need some help on defense. Pass defense gets an upgrade with Graham here as the 'Boys' defensive linemen don't have any more than 2 per player. Offensive tackle and linebacker are also needs.
28. Bengals- Myron Lewis S, Vanderbilt
The Bengals have been very impressive this year, thanks in part to a big draft class and Cedric Benson. Palmer has been staying healthy and that's Cincy's main concern. Their pass defense is leaky and needs a big upgrade over the current starters.
29. Seahawks (from Broncos)- Jahvid Best RB, California
I think the Seahawks will ignore the offensive tackle position in the first round and go with a defensive tackle first, then take Best, the smallish RB from Cal. Best has shown this year that he can be a true weapon on offense, and that is what the Seahawks need, a spark on offense.
30. Vikings- Sam Bradford QB, Oklahoma
I have Bradford dropping all the way down here because of the system they run at Oklahoma isn't pro-style, his shoulder injuries, and the overall skill of this year's QB class could cause him to fall. Will Favre retire or will he play until he has to be wheeled back and forth from the huddle in a wheelchair? He's gotta go sometime.
31. Colts- Ras-I Dowling CB/S, Virginia
The Colts have alot of everything, but I see that a lot of their defensive backs' contracts will be expiring this offseason. The Colts won't be able to re-sign everyone, so I see them taking a good defensive back in round one. Dowling is a little slow to be a corner, but not slow enough to not be considered one.
32. Saints- Trevard Lindley CB, Kentucky
The Saints don't really have a need anywhere else but defensive back. They are solid across the board and their record is showing it. I was really impressed by the way they beat the Giants a few weeks back, then had to come back against Miami. This team is the team to beat this year. They drafted Malcolm Jenkins last year, but Darren Sharper isn't getting any younger, even though he has a whopping 7 INTs and 3 TDs.
What should the only remaining winless team in the NFL do? Build along the lines.
17. Packers- Charles Brown OT, USC
Luckily for Ted Thompson, the best available player fits with the biggest need that they have. Too many sacks have been given up this year by the Packers offensive line.
